EDUCATION

[DISASTER RELIEF] [HUMAN RIGHTS] [COMMUNITY COHESION]

Millions of children across the developing world are not in schools and thousands more may never have the chance to attend any sort of educational institute. This has a serious impact on their future and the future of their country, as education can break the cycle of poverty, leading to more opportunities for them and their families and economic growth for their area and country.

Welsh Crescent works directly with communities to ensure our education programmes are relevant to their needs. Projects are aimed at both adults and children and include building and equipping schools, holding literacy classes and teacher training to increase development in the following categories:

   1. Cognitive development

    2. Social development

    3. Emotional development

    4. Civic development

    5. Vocational development
